The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP) and Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) are working in partnership on the comprehensive clinical education program, Managing HPV: A New Era in Patient Care. This curriculum addresses current research and best practice recommendations concerning HPV testing, incorporating the HPV vaccine into prevention care, and treatment for complications of HPV including external genital warts and cervical cancer. Despite being the most prevalent sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the United States, the majority of American men and women are unfamiliar with human papillomavirus (HPV) and its link to cervical cancer. The importance of educating the public about this connection is a frontline issue for the reproductive health care community. Clinicians recognize the importance of providing clients with the most recent developments in the fight against cervical cancer including the introduction of improved screening tools for HPV and the development of the HPV vaccine. ARHP and PPFA are committed to providing health care practitioners with progressive, medically-accurate information and advanced prevention, screening, and treatment options for HPV and cervical cancer. This free CME session will be presented by Joel Palefsky, MD via live webinar on Wednesday, March 18th from 12 noon to 1:00 pm ET. For more information and to register, please visit www.arhp.org/HPV
